Kotono hugged my arm and pulled it as she happily giggled.
“All right~! Since we decided to do that, let’s go shopping right away!”
“It’s not like the mall is going to disappear, so can you not be in such a hurry?”
“It’s not about whether the mall is going to disappear or not! Let’s go!”
Kotono then tried to drag me towards a store, but then—
*GUUUuuu~*
“…Kotono?”
“Y-You’re wrong! I-It wasn’t me…”
Then don’t turn your face away while saying that. Plus, your ears were slightly red, y’know?
*Sigh~* I guess it couldn’t be helped.
“I’m sorry Kotono, but I’m so hungry that I felt like I’m going to die if I don’t eat right now~”
“Eh…?”
“Say, why don’t we have lunch first, pleaseee?”
“*P-Pfft!* Mou~ I guess it can’t be helped~ I feel so sorry for my poor Onii-chan. That’s why I, the cute and lovely Kotono-chan, permit us to eat lunch first…Thank you…”
“You’re welcome.”
◆???◆
“Huh? Isn’t that Sanada-kun? Eh…? Is he dating that beautiful person!? I-I-I have to tell Riran-chan…!”

I took Kotono to a well-known family restaurant which we had visited before with our family.
This family restaurant, which was located on the tenth floor of the shopping mall, catered to young people because of their cheap prices.
We were shown to a table for four on the window side of the restaurant. Half of the glass was polished, so it was hard to see in from the outside, but easy to see out from the inside.
Once we were seated, Kotono happily looked at the menu.
“Well, I got some money from my dad, so I think I’ll order something a little nicer.”
“Then I’ll order some too—”
“*Bzzz~!*”
With an annoyed look on her face, Kotono made an “X” symbol with her fingers. Did I do something wrong?
“Onii, that was a ‘*Bzzz*’, you know?”
“A what?”
“The correct answer is, ‘I’ll pay for it, so order anything you want.’ It’s not right to make her pay for it.”
“Is that how it’s done?”
“That’s the way it is.”
*Sigh~*…Boyfriends in this world must have it tough, huh?
“Now Onii, say it!”
“…I’ll pay for it, so order anything you want…”
“Waah, thanks for saying it sooo monotonously! But I’m sorry, I’ll pay for it too! So let’s eat something delicious together.”
“You’re paying for it?”
I immediately asked her, but she swayed her index finger left and right.
“Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, you really don’t get it, huh? A good woman is not a woman who leeches off her man, that’s nonsense. A good woman is someone who acknowledges his feelings and gently stands by him at all times.”
Where in the hell did you get such knowledge, Kotono? As your Onii-chan, I’m really worried about your future…
Was this what couples do in this world? I felt like I’m going to be single for the rest of my life. I didn’t know if Kuonji had these kinds of values…
…D*mn it, I’m thinking about her again…
“Have you decided, Onii?”
“Yeah, the usual.”
“Alright~.”
After that I pressed a button that called for a waiter.
“I’m sorry to have kept you waiting, are you ready to order?”
“Two cheese-in hamburgers and two rice dishes, one with a large portion. Then, french fries and Caesar salad. Also, a soft-serve drink, please.”
Kotono told the waiter without any hesitation.
“Kotono, are you okay with orange juice?”
“Yep, thank you~”
She was probably not going to move anymore, because she was playing with her phone while saying that. I’m fine with it, because that’s what she always did anyway.
I put in two glasses of 100 percent orange juice without ice.
“Here you go.”
“Yay~!”
I placed one glass in front of Kotono and one in front of me.
Phew~…we’d been walking for two hours…I’m so tired…
I took a sip of the orange juice and exhaled. I really couldn’t get enough of this sweetness.
“Hey, Onii.”
“Hmm, what’s up?”
“How’s Riran-tan lately?”
“Ah…She’s fine, I guess. I don’t really know.”
I haven’t talked to her since the incident on the rooftop.
It’s quite sad when she would immediately look away from me everytime our eyes met, but it’s not like I wanted her to look at me anyway…wait, what was I thinking about!?
Kotono seems to be dissatisfied with what I just said.
“That’s not good, Onii-chan. Girls are sensitive, so you have to give them more attention, y’know?”
“It’s hard to believe that she’s a sensitive girl.”
“You don’t understand. Onii-chan reaaaaaaally doesn’t understand anything at all~!”
Hey, don’t make a face like you’re enjoying this! And what was with that foreigner-like gesture!?
“Riran-tan is especially sensitive and shy. In my opinion, Riran-tan is very conscious of Onii, but she is too shy to be honest with you.”
HAHAHAHAHAHA, that’s ridiculous…is what I wanted to say, but Kuonji did seem to be looking at me more often these days, probably due to the Red Thread.
She could be “sensitive,” but I felt like it was something else.
