The Happiness That The Shinigami Gave Me - V2 Chapter 9-2
T/N: There are 2 chapter 9s in the raw, maybe an error, but I want to keep the indexing faithful to the raw to make my life easier, so I’ll settle with this.
Volume 2 Chapter 9-2
They took me to the infirmary and laid me down on the bed. My homeroom teacher, Arasaka-sensei came and asked me, “Are you okay?” before offering me a glass of water.
“Try to drink it if you can. If you can’t, I’ll call an ambulance for you.”
The one who gave that brisk instruction to me was the school nurse, an old female teacher.
If possible, I’d rather not get in the ambulance at all.
“I’ll drink it.”
I slowly raised my body, took the glass of water and drank its content.
“How does it taste? Tasty?”
I nodded. It seemed like I was wrong. The glass wasn’t filled with mineral water.
“It’s an oral rehydration solution. You caught a heat stroke it seems. For your information, normally people would find the water’s taste bad because of how salty it is.”
Right after that, the door to the infirmary opened. The Yamaoka couple emerged from behind the door, accompanied by a teacher I wasn’t familiar with.
Seeing their worried faces made me wish that I could disappear right now.
I told them I wouldn’t bother them ever again, but I couldn’t even keep my words to them.
“Will Yuuma be okay?”
When Uncle Yamaoka asked that, the nurse chuckled.
“He caught a heat stroke. Since he’s awake and his symptoms don’t seem to be severe, he should be okay as long as he drinks enough water and gets a good night’s sleep.”
The Yamaoka couple sighed in relief after hearing that. Arasaka-sensei then came forward to talk with them.
“I’m Arasaka, Yuuma-kun’s homeroom teacher. I’m sorry for causing you trouble. I got ahead of myself and pushed him to work too hard as the class representative…”
Hearing his words, the Yamaoka couples widened their eyes.
“Huh? Yuuma is the class representative?”
“Sorry? Yes, he is. He is an excellent one to boot. The whole class has already opened up to him.”
I turned around to avoid the adults’ gazes. After that, I had to spend a long time listening to the adults talk about me. Honestly, it made me feel uncomfortable.
