The Happiness That The Shinigami Gave Me - V1 Chapter 11
Volume 1 Chapter 11
“Huh? Stalker-kun, you’re here again?”
Next morning, I visited the park again.
Immediately, I was greeted by her exasperated sigh.
“I can’t believe you came here again after the horrible thing I told you yesterday. You got a lot of guts for a pest.”
“Wait a minute.”
I clenched my fist.
I must not be swallowed into her pace like I did yesterday. I have to say something quickly.
“You are right. You could call me your stalker, Natsuhara-san?”
“…What on earth are you even talking about?”
To be fair, I’d been looking at her ever since school started. I went to her class to check on her and tried to get into the same club as her. That was exactly what stalkers did.
“Still, I appreciate it if you don’t lump me with the other stalkers out there.”
I should just say this to her, loud and clear.
“I’ve been looking for you even before I knew about you.”
Ever since I was a child.
I had been looking forward to meeting her.
She was the reason why I came back from the land of death.
“And now, I finally met you.”
I wasn’t attracted to her because of her beauty. When I first saw her at the entrance ceremony, I knew immediately that she was the one.
Even if I were to lose my eyesight at that moment, I would still be able to tell that.
After all, she was my fated girl. I couldn’t help but notice her no matter what.
“Sorry for calling out to you out of the blue like yesterday. I just want you to keep in mind that out of all the pests, I’m a veteran.”
Her mouth was wide open after hearing my words.
She looked so innocent.
Like how a normal seventh grader should look like.
“…I called you a stalker and a pest. You aren’t mad?”
“Nope.”
I puffed out my chest.
There was no way that I could get angry over something like that.
“I won’t be angry over anything that you said.”
Because to protect her, I had to be strong.
Even if I didn’t have the strength to wield a weapon, I wanted my heart to be strong.
“You’re creepy, you know that?”
“I know.”
“Also, ‘I’ve been looking for you even before I met you’? What the hell is that? Are you a chuunibyou?”
“I guess so.”
Even if she were to call me a creep or chuunibyou, I don’t care. As long as I could talk to her, everything else didn’t matter.
A hot wind blew, signaling that summer was approaching.
“This is stupid.”
Her tone was different from yesterday.
Despite her harsh words, her tone was gentle and hearing her speaking like that made me feel ticklish.
“My name is Yamaoka Yuuma.”
I reached my hand out to her. To my fated girl.
“Will you be my friend, Natsuhara-san?”
A cloud covered up the sunlight for a moment. Her face became hidden in the shade thanks to that. For a while, there was silence.
The loud sound of my beating heart was covered by the sound of cars passing by.
Thump. Thump.
When the sun peeked over the cloud, I could see her smiling face.
The smile wasn’t filled with poison.
But a genuine smile that came from the bottom of her heart.
“You’re insane, you know that?”
She slapped my hand.
“Fine, I’ll be your friend. I’ve been alone all this time, so having a friend like you might be fun.”
The hem of her sailor uniform swayed as she stood with a happy expression on her face.
“My name is Natsuhara Suzuno. Nice to meet you, my stalker, Yamaoka-kun.”
