Shamer - Chapter 4 Part 8
After Touya left, I went to the convenience store to buy dinner.
“Touya must have had mixed feelings about it.”
I, Ruri, and Touya had been together for a long time. That was probably why Touya, who loved Ruri, had to suppress most of his feelings.
Today, he took the trouble to come to me and tell me the truth.
We talked about many things, but in the end, I think he wanted to tell me that there was no fault with Ruri.
In fact, she was trying to save me.
The other day, Ruri told me that she was the one who told Touya about my confession to her in middle school.
She also said that she didn’t help me when I was being bullied by my classmates and that she didn’t even visit my house when I stopped going to school.
But I know from what Touya told me that two of these things were lies.
And while she certainly didn’t visit me at my house, it may have been because she was threatened by Touya.
When I think about it, even more so than I had thought when I heard about it from Kiritani-sensei… I felt a little differently about Ruri hating me.
“What does Ruri really think about me?”
I’ve been with her for so long that it’s probably the first time I’ve seriously thought about this.
When I think about it this way, I realize once again how much I love Ruri.
Many things have happened, but no matter what, I have always loved Ruri as I have since I was a little kid.
“I wish I could tell her that.
I suddenly found myself muttering to myself.
I wanted to tell her how I felt.
I had never felt this way before.
And this was probably because of Touya.
Because he was prepared to tell me everything.
I wanted to tell the person I love that I love her too.
“I don’t have time to buy dinner.”
I changed direction and started running in the opposite direction of the convenience store.
Of course, I was heading in the direction of Ruri’s house.
I had been with Ruri for more than ten years.
I wanted to see Ruri more than anything else right now.
With this thought in my mind, I continued to run without stopping.
