Prologue – The Girl Who Never Dies

The girl will die.

In the middle of the night, in her futon, with no one staying by her side. She would die, just as that doctor predicted.

“…Ungh… Agh…”

Wincing in pain, the girl desperately grabbed a lump of cold metal.

A pocket watch that her father gave her. He told her that if she were to wish upon the silver pocket watch, a witch would come and grant her a wish.

When she first heard his words, the girl laughed at him because his words were absurd to her. But, when she was on her deathbed like this, his words became a ray of hope that she desperately clung to. She put her faith in his words, she tried to believe in his words. She didn’t want to die.

“Heya~ Nice to meet you. My contractor this time looks a little pale, hm?”

Then, a miracle happened. A witch appeared before the girl, just as what her father told her.

…And so began a long, long period of moratorium for the girl.
