Pool Date 1
I had promised Aisa that we would go to the pool together when we went to buy her swimsuit. For some reason, I had to come to the Takanishi house instead of directly heading to the meeting location.
“Take care of Onee-chan!”
“Yes, yes.”
I was supposed to meet Aisa at the station, but Manami had called me and told me to pick Aisa up at her house on short notice.
“Come on! Hurry up, Onee-chan!”
“…I know…”
Apparently, Aisa seemed a bit reluctant on the day of the date. I knew how she felt.
Since I’m not her baggage carrier today, I think this can be called a normal date… I had Manami to thank for that.
Aisa still hadn’t made up her mind, hiding in Manami’s shadow at the entrance and not coming out.
“Hey, do you want to come too, Manami?”
“What are you talking about? I’ll be going to the beach with you! Today’s the date with just Onee-chan and Kouki-nii!”
“Date…”
Aisa mumbles with a blush.
She’s going to make me blush if she doesn’t stop.
“Come on! You’re wasting time for your date!”
Aisa came over to the doorway as if she was pushed lightly with a thump.
I was watching the whole thing, and when my eyes met hers, she glared at me with her usual sharp look.
“…What?”
“Nothing…”
Her red face made me less scared of her. I felt a little more relaxed when Aisa was like this.
“Let’s go.”
“Yeah…”
As Manami waved to us cheerfully, my anxious day began.

It takes a little over an hour to get to the pool by train and bus.
Our destination is a large swimming pool at a large leisure facility in the suburbs. At this time of year, it has both indoor and outdoor activities, making it a worthwhile place to spend the whole day.
“Where’s the ticket?”
“Here it is.”
Thanks to the few times we talked on our way to the pool, I was able to carry out the necessary conversations, although they were awkward and minimal.
“I’ll meet you over there after.”
“Okay…”
After that, we went into our respective changing rooms.
“But… are you okay? Today…”
It was clear that my conversations with Aisa were made with Manami in mind.
Last time, we both took Manami’s advice, and the whole thing ran smoothly. Unlike last time, I didn’t receive advice today that covered the whole process. From the way Aisa was acting, I guess that’s the case with her too.
“I don’t know what to say to her…”
I guess it doesn’t matter what I say. I, as the guy, changed my clothes quickly, so I’m in charge of obtaining the floats. Though in the end, it would probably be hard to tell who was faster.
Seeing how long the line for the automatic inflator for the floats was, I decided to give up on that and to inflate it by myself.
“…I’m… dying…”
I was drenched in sweat before I even stepped outside, but I managed to inflate one of the floats. I stepped into the pool area, walked through the disinfecting area and took a shower, which was just right for my sweaty body to recover a bit.
“At this rate, Aisa will probably be faster…”
I stared at the floats that gave me such a difficult time and started walking towards the meeting place.
