Osananajimi ga Zettai ni Makenai Love Comedy - Chapter 4 Part 2

We’ve been here for three days and two nights, but we’re just past the turnaround point. Tomorrow, though, all that’s left is the PV and going back home. We were running out of time, but we had a lot of things we wanted to do and a lot of things we had to do.
“Here, Midori. I’ll take care of this, so come join us.”
Now it was time to play in the ocean for an hour, which we planned to do after lunch. We decided to play a simple game of beach volleyball on the beach, but Midori, who came along with me, was reluctant.
I was in charge of setting up the parasol and beach sheet, while the rest of us were in charge of inflating the ball and setting up a simple net.
“Well, I know, but when I look at it again, the group is really impressive.”
The people in Midori’s eyes were Maria and Shirokusa.
You’re usually arrogant, but at times like this, you shy away.
Midori was fidgeting and stalling for time by stretching out the wrinkles in her tank top bikini.
I let out a sigh and raised my voice.
“Shiro!”
Shirokusa, who was inflating the ball, noticed and rushed over to me.
“What’s wrong, Sue-chan?”
“Can you use this person?”
“Ehhhh!?”
“What’s the matter, Midori? You don’t want to help?”
“N-not really, but…”
Shirokusa must have understood my intentions.
She smiled gently and extended her hand to Midori.
“It’s fine. Well then, Midori-chan, come here.”
“Ehh!? Ah, yes─!”
Midori walked along with Shirokusa taking her by the hand.
She really looked like a borrowed cat in front of Shirokusa.
Well, Midori used to get into fights with Maria, but it seems that she’s getting along with Shirokusa just fine, so this was probably the best choice.
And also Shirokusa became softer than before─or even from yesterday. We may be able to build a good relationship from here on.
“Sorry for making you wait, Haru-niisan.”
“Haru-nii, let us help you.”
The twins were late this time.
Aoi was wearing a cute and cuddly marine blue pareo.
Akane was a…maniac. She’s wearing a school swimsuit.
No well, wasn’t it strange for her to wear a school swimsuit despite being a first year middle school student? It seemed that it’s okay for Akane…since she didn’t show much interest in fashion after all.
“You guys go help over there. This is a great opportunity. Make some new acquaintances.”
They can talk to me anytime. It’s not an everyday opportunity to meet so many different people.
In addition, Tetsuhiko was not here at the moment because of the material delivery procedure. It’s hard to talk to high school boys, but if it’s just the girls, the hurdle would be lowered somewhat.
“…I don’t mind. I’m going to help Haru-nii here.”
“Akane…”
Hmm…
The fact that she said this to me proved that she was comfortable with me, and I was personally happy to hear it.
I’m happy to hear that, but as her brother…I’m a little worried.
“Ahaha…”
Aoi’s bitter smile was a reaction to the fact that she understood Akane, but was having a little trouble handling her.
Aoi herself was a bit of a shy person, so she wouldn’t talk to new acquaintances without a push.
However, Aoi would not reject them. Even though she’s shy, she could see what’s going on around her, and just because she’s not good at getting into a circle didn’t mean she couldn’t do it.
Akane was different. She refused to join the circle.
I pondered for a while, and then decided.
“Momo! Reina!”
When I called out for the kouhai duo who were in charge of setting up the net, Akane hid behind me without saying a word.
“What is it, paisen?”
“You need some help? Use these guys.”
I looked at Aoi and Akane.
They were two people with good instincts. They knew right away and smiled.
“Thank you. Umm, Aoi-chan and Akane-chan, right? This way please.”
“Fufufu, I’ve been looking forward to talking to you guys. I’ll have you both calling me Momo-neesan (intoxicated by Momo) by the time we get back.”
…I had a bad feeling that Maria must be up to no good…Well, Reina was here, so I think it’ll be fine.
“Ahh, y-yes… Looking forward to working with you.”
Aoi smiled at the welcoming mood and walked up to her.
But─
“…I’m good. I’m here with Haru-nii.”
Akane stuck to my back and refused more strongly.
I almost made up my mind that I had no choice to act like a demon and pull her away, but─
(…She’s trembling)
I could feel the fright on my back. Akane seemed to be more terrified than I imagined.
My resolve to become a demon fizzled out in an instant when I realized this.
“…Sorry. I’m going to have Akane help me out here.”
As expected, Maria and Reina were very perceptive.
“Understood-tsu.”
“You’re welcome to come and join us anytime.”
With that, they took Aoi and headed for the internet installation.
As I waved them off, Akane mumbled to herself.
“I didn’t know Haru-nii had so many friends.”
“Wait, oi! oi! oi! Akane, just what did you think of me!?”
Did she think I have no other friends than Kuroha!? It’s not that I’m talking big here, but the fact that people thought that about me like that hurts my feelings a little bit!
My comment made Akane realize that she had made an unintentional remark.
“Ahh…Haru-nii, I didn’t mean it like that…”
I knew she was dangerous. This girl was the same clumsy type as Shirokusa, but unlike Shirokusa, who forced herself to be strong, this girl was clumsy in an unconscious natural way. Moreover, if she hadn’t noticed her mistake, she might have been able to say that she was a slow-paced character, but she realized it later and regretted it, which is also sad.
“Don’t worry, Akane. I don’t mind.”
When I patted her on the head, she mumbled “yes” as she lowered her eyes.
“So, what did Akane want to say?
“When I saw Haru-nii having fun talking to strangers, you seemed like a different person… Somehow, I felt as if Haru-nii had gone far away from me.”
A-ahh~…I see. I think I understand her a little bit.
It’s similar to the surprise you get when you see your parents at work. They look different from how they’re usually at home, which makes you a little surprised.
“I’m feeling very, very lonely… that’s why…”
Akane hugged my arm tightly.
This girl was a lot smarter than me…
This imbalance stimulated my desire for protection. It made me want to do something about her because she seemed to be having a hard time surviving.
“Ah─”
Akane suddenly pulled away.
Just as I was wondering if something was wrong─ a voice called out from behind me.
“Oh, Akane and Haru are the only ones here?”
The last person to appear was Kuroha.
After all, I’d seen Kuroha’s swimsuit every year. But this year was the only year I hadn’t seen it yet. In this regard, the situation was completely different for Shirokusa and Maria.
That’s why I was not upset─although I should be.
“Ugh─”
I turned around to look at Kuroha, and was shocked as if I had been hit on the head.
This was the first time I’ve seen her in a swimsuit since I started seeing her as a romantic interest.
A halter neck with impressive frills. The bottom half of the body was a skirt type, so it’s not too revealing. It’s not that different from last year, but it’s still a difference in consciousness… It’s a bit of an overwhelming feeling.
“Haa~…”
My breathing becomes ragged. After all, Kuroha was much cuter and prettier than the celebrity class of Shirokusa and Maria.
Even though I know I’ll get mounted if I look at it too much, I can’t help but glance at it again and again.
And of course, Kuroha sensed this.
“…Pretty good, right, Haru?”
“Ge─Don’t be ridiculous! It’s not!”
I resisted─but Kuroha seemed to be able to see right through me.
I see right through you, you know? She smiled superciliously and put her mouth close to my ear.
“So cute. There’s no need to act tough… I guess I like that about you.”
“Ugh─”
When I reddened and distanced myself, Kuroha chuckled.
“What’s wrong? Haru, your face is red, you know?”
Akane, who was standing right next to me, didn’t hear her, so she had a puzzled look on her face.
Grr, this person, she’s toying with me…!
However, Kuroha’s assault continued after that.
“What are you doing, Haru? Come on, get up… I love you.“
“When your hair gets wet, you look a little more sexy, don’t you, Haru…? I love you.“
“Haa~, you’re tired, aren’t you…? I love you.“
“Even if you’re sleepy, you still have to study after this… I love you.“
“‘Aaaaahhhh! Why? Why is Kuro saying “I love you” at the end of every sentence!?”
I couldn’t take it anymore, so I ran away from the beach and hit my head against the concrete wall on the empty beach.
(I’m scared. I’m afraid of Kuro who could think like this…)
It’s a mental attack. It’s going to make my brain go crazy.
Every time she said “I love you”, she put her mouth close to my ear. She whispered just loud enough for people to hear and just close enough for people to not get suspicious!
She’s totally falling into darkness…And I was being played with…
I was afraid that I was going to fall into a state of pleasure that went beyond liking or disliking or being angry or not being angry.
Oh, I forgot that I was having a fight with Kuroha!
Yes, that’s right! Kuroha was lying! Until she apologizes for it! I couldn’t forgive her until she told me why she lied…!
『─ I love you.』
“Grrr!”
I blushed and crouched down.
But no matter how much I fought, no matter how much I didn’t agree, no matter if it’s a lie, no matter if I was being played, how could I not be happy when the girl I love said she loved me? How could I not be embarrassed by that?
This was not good. Come back to my senses. Don’t let my emotions get the better of me.
That’s what Aoi-chan said. Be careful of travel magic.
Well, maybe Kuro was also getting carried away by the trip.
I needed to be cautious and make a calm decision here…
When I returned to the beach to cool off, the hour of playing in the ocean was over and we were all moving to our positions.
Tetsuhiko, who was giving instructions to the contractors carrying the materials, noticed me.
“Oi, where on earth have you been? Shida-chan told me that you have a study session and you should come right away!”
“Ah, okay!”
Reina, Aoi, and Akane were standing near Tetsuhiko.
I was sure these three were on standby for material assembly. I was just a little worried… about Akane.
Aoi must have realized that I was concerned about her. She waved at me.
…It’s a signal that I could leave her with this. I see, I’ll just follow her.
Aoi was always in this kind of role. She casually helped me out. Perhaps, she had been quietly helping Akane at school as well.
However, there was no sign of ingratitude on Aoi’s part. She was happy to take on the role.
In the first place, Aoi and Akane were not a one-sided pair. For example, when it came to studying, Aoi seemed to be learning a lot from Akane. It may look like this, but the twins made up for each other’s deficiencies as a good pair.
I waved back to Aoi and left her in charge.
With Shirokusa practicing on the terrace, I returned to the living room.
“You’re late!”
The one who was waiting for me was Kuroha, standing with her hands on her hips.
“Ha~ru~? Don’t you think you have enough spirit…?”
This was not the same, she’s not the “Alter Kuroha” that was in the S-side and had higher s*x appeal. [TLN: S = S*dist, M = M*sochist, take note of these in the future]
The reason I felt so nostalgic is because I have memories of being squeezed a lot during my high school exams.
I used to call her this in my mind. “Sergeant Kuroha.”
When I turned my eyes to the table, Midori and Maria were absorbed in staring at their reference books. Even though I came to them.
What’s going on here…? What did she do to make Maria so single-minded? This is too scary for me, you know…?
“Ha~ru~?”
I straightened my back and gave a salute.
Kuroha gave a thumbs up and pointed to the back of her head.
“Why don’t you go and reflect?”
At the end of the thumb is a terrace, and beyond that─
“Yes, sir!”
I jumped out onto the terrace barefoot and ran past Shirokusa, who was practicing on her own. Then I climbed over the railing and dove into the ocean─”
“Whoaaaaaa~!”
With a scream, I plunged into the water and floated up at high speed.
“What on earth are you doing?”
Tetsuhiko, who was assembling the materials on the beach, asked me. Aoi and Akane, who were behind him, also rolled their eyes.
“You can’t go against Kuro as your instructor…!”
“Ahahaha…”
“Well, it’s Kuro-nee we’re talking about here.”
Leaving behind the bitterly smiling Aoi and the nonchalantly commenting Akane, I ran up the terrace and went back to the living room. As I caught my breath, I raised my voice.
“I’ve been reflecting on it!”
“…Good!”
Kuroha threw me a bath towel with her lightless eyes and immediately showed me the stopwatch in her right hand.
“I’ve got the test for Haru right there. The time limit is thirty minutes. We’ll be doing five subjects from now on.”
That meant I’d have to concentrate hard for two and a half hours─
“That’s right…It would be too bad if we didn’t do anything about setting up the stage, so I’ll go help out for an hour after I finish my three subjects while I’m on break.”
“T-that doesn’t sound like a break to me at all…”
I shuddered and shut up as Kuroha glared at me.
“─Are there any complaints?”
“None! Sir!”
“Don’t add words like ‘sir.'”
“I-I’m sorry about that…!”
It was hell from there.
Difficult questions that kept coming at me. The constant glow of Kuroha’s eyes.
It’s not just the fact that I’m here on a trip that I’m forgetting.
However…Kuroha didn’t just blast for no reason.
The problems that Kuroha prepared were all problems that I had made a mistake on before. That’s why every time I went to the next question, “Ah, it’s this! I can’t remember~”, was what I felt.
And then, gradually, I began to realize. It must have been a lot of work to make this.
The effort of simply selecting, copying, and cutting out the problems from the question book alone was quite a lot.
On top of that, Kuroha must have had to practice singing and dancing. It’s painful to think that she had to make up for these problems in between…
(Kuro…)
You were fighting with me. You were supposed to be pissed off at me…
Kuroha seems to be saying this with an attitude.
『It’s okay to play. But, it’s not okay to neglect what students are supposed to be doing.』
If you’re going to put all your energy into it, don’t just play, study as well─
And it’s Kuroha who was actually doing it, not just talking about it.
(That’s right, Kuro has always been like this…)
She was showing me by example that this was the right way to be. When she showed me this, even the laziest of me would be impressed, and I couldn’t help but whimper─ I’m ready now.
Even though Reina made fun of me, I couldn’t do anything about my rejection of studying. But now it’s gone, and I’m full of energy.
I slapped both cheeks as hard as I could to cheer myself up.
“Haru…?”
Kuroha, who was teaching Maria, looked up in surprise.
“Sorry, it’s nothing. I’m just getting back into the swing of things.”
“…Finally, you got the fire going?”
“Yeah.”
“Haru, it took too long to light.”
“Sorry.
“…Hmm”
It was too small of a mumble to be a reply.
But it was enough to make me feel that we understood each other.
(TLN: I don’t think this has been announced yet, but I, AJ1703, the translator, am quitting my role here to focus on my other series, namely, Losing Heroine and Lonely Otaku which you can also read in this website, and also some other shenanigans such as my Youtube Channel and Mamahaha Discord Server I manage on. I believe I’m only stepping down as Translator and Pascal will finish the rest of the series. I will only keep working on this until I finish v3, and it’s up to Pascal for him to continue the rest. No worries, it isn’t because I hate or don’t like the series, in fact, I still love it, but I find it difficult to translate Osamake and it takes up a mental toll for me in doing so. I hope you guys can understand this. I’ll assist pascal if he needs help from time to time with this series. Support the series by buying the raws here. For more clarifications, Pascal said he will continue the series despite me stepping down as translator. I’m not sure if he will change his plans anytime soon but that’s what he told me.
