“Calm down, I’m telling you I’m not into that kind of stuff.”
“Is that true…?”
At Yō’s words, Marin looked up into Yō’s face with questioning white eyes.
It seems that she doesn’t believe Yō’s words at all.
Kasumi, who was the one who incited Marin to do so, was looking at Yō and the others with a casual expression on her face, and she was inwardly very nervous when she saw Marin’s expression, which she had never seen before.
(What’s up with that expression…! It’s the kind of expression that looks like contempt, but is actually only shown to those who are close to you! I’ve never seen her make that expression on anyone else, not even on Kinoshita-kun…! And her face! She’s too close! She didn’t need to get that close!)
Kasumi shouted in her mind, but she didn’t want to interfere and held her ground.
As long as Yō was unaware of Marin’s fondness for him, he would only take this disdainful look as Marin’s disapproval.
So she didn’t dare to interrupt him, lest she provokes him and make him look embarrassingly cute.
However, Kasumi’s anger began to boil up inside her as Marin moved her face closer to Yō’s in the few seconds she missed.
“―That reminds me, what happened to Nagisa? He was supposed to come with us, right? Don’t tell me he ran away?”
As Kasumi stared at Yō and the others, suppressing her anger, Yō took his gaze off Marin and began to look inside the train.
Then Marin, still unconvinced by Yō’s blatant diversion, began tugging at his chest.
“Please don’t change the subject.”
“No, that’s enough, isn’t it?”
Yō gave a disgusted look to the insistent Marin.
Yō didn’t like to be pestered, and he didn’t like to be persistently asked about these topics.
That’s why he’s still in a bad mood.
―Kasumi, however, knew.
She knew that when Yō tried to cover up a story, it was a story that was inconvenient for him.
“I’m sorry…”
Yō’s disapproval made Marin feel depressed.
She realized that she had gone too far.
“No, I’m not mad at you, so don’t be depressed…”
In front of the depressed Marin, Yō made a gentle sound and showed concern.
This did not amuse Kasumi, and she deliberately walked past Yō and the others to get to someone.
She sat down and looked out the window, as if she didn’t care about Yō and Marin’s conversation.
“―It’s been a while since I’ve seen you, what do you think you’re doing, going outside dressed like that?”
When Kasumi called out to the person, who was dressed in an unusual girlish way, even wearing a skirt, her face turned to Kasumi.
“Now, you’re the first one to pick a fight with me, you haven’t grown up at all since then.”
The person sitting at the table― Nagisa, who was dressed in a completely private outfit, replied with a meaningful look in her eyes.

Translator’s Afterword: I’m still not certain about Nagisa’s gender. It’s probably a “her” since Kasumi said so. Yō easily misinterprets stuff most of the time so I’m clinging more to that side. Moreover, the author said before in one of the afterwords that this series would have two main heroines and one side heroine (which could only be Nagisa). Obviously, the one who refers to Nagisa as a “he/him” is Yo (and maybe even Marin), but Kasumi is the only one who refers to Nagisa as a “she/her”. Please do keep in mind these points as I might get called out for getting their pronouns wrong.
Also screw Genshin’s anniversary. It doesn’t feel like an anniversary, not because of the rewards, but rather it wasn’t appreciated much by the game itself wtf. (Just a minor rant from me)

Genshin impact anniversary suck but it pain me to see genshin review going down. The rewards suck but you can’t deny that genshin is a great game and
Thank for the chapter!

Like I said, it’s not about the rewards. It’s more of the monument for being the first anniversary. What I mean by that is, literally the lack of emotions that it feels like an anniversary. An event that actually keeps the player base busy, there’s none. Even an in-game mail saying that it’s an anniversary or the sort, there’s none too. I don’t play genshin much but I can feel the frustration of those passionate players that actually wanted the game to be better. For them, it feels like Mihoyo got on a high horse and doesn’t respond to their fanbase even the well-known whalers and content creators speaking out, there’s no response from them at all.
