“Ah! Wait, Marin-chan!”
Without listening to the guy’s words of restraint, Marin rushed towards the direction of You.
When he realized this, You felt uncomfortable because he saw her being dumped, and hurriedly hid himself behind a wall.
Then Marin came around the corner and ran right past of him, unaware of You’s presence.
Then she went straight up the stairs.
As they passed each other, You saw her profile and felt an indescribable feeling.
He wondered what the guy would do, so he peeked out from the wall and looked at where the guy was.
The guy who Marin ran away from― Haruki Kinoshita, was just talking to the beautiful black-haired girl and didn’t seem that he would chase after her.
(Well, if you’ve chosen that side, it’s right not to go after her…)
A black-haired beautiful girl, Kasumi Nemoto, was the girl who was chosen. If the guy had gone after Marin it would be a bad move.
Kasumi, who would have been his girlfriend, would’ve felt uncomfortable and insecure, while Marin will be left with an unrequited love.
There was nothing he could do about it except hope that she would recover naturally.
There was no point in staying here, You thought so, and stepped out to go back home.
However― Marin’s profile from earlier was burned into his mind, and he knew that if he continued to go home, he would have strange thoughts for the rest of the day.

You stopped moving forward after he stepped out of his hiding place, and let his thoughts run on the spot.
And then, he headed towards the stairs, wondering why he was even meddling with this.

Translator’s Comments: I was planning to release this on July 17 but I want to release at least chapter 1 for now so that I could solidify myself as the translator of the series and not get sniped from me. Just coming back ch 1 to comment, in order to warn others like me. Read the tags and reviews on NU, and if you still want to read this, read this. I made it to chapter 50, even though the story became an unbearable sh*t show pretty much when the volume changed to 2. Only the devil knows if I’ll ever read the rest of this, depends if I’m ever desperate enough for something to read.

Shouldn’t his name be written as “Yoh”??? Since that’s the sound the Yō should make. While with most words, it’d work with “ou”… but “Yoh” is one of the exceptions…
Cause if his name was phonetically the same as “You”, it’d be spelt as “Yu” which is obviously wrong.
So it should be “Yoh”
It’s a weird thing that is only due to the fact that English is a very inconsistent language…

I assume his name is written よう in hiragana where よ = yo and う = u, so if you translate each character individually you’d end up with “you” although phonetically it would be pronounced “yoh” in that combination.

Yes, his name actually is confusing but we’ll all get used to it after some time. His name reminded me of You Watanabe from Love Live! so I kept the spelling as is.
