Kirinomiya-senpai Cannot Solve The Mystery - Chapter 0.1 Prologue
—It was too late.
By the time I came to my senses, Amase Ayano’s breathing had already stopped and she had become a mute corpse.
In a corner of the school I attend, there is a small storage shed that seems to have been forgotten by everyone. It was a simple prefabricated hut with a single lighted window. The eerie red afterglow of the setting sun was shining through the window.
The hut was filled with the smell of iron, and my face reflexively distorted.
Before I knew it, I found a knife in my hand. Blackened blood ran down the edge of the blade, staining the floor in puddles.
I never thought she would really die. My palms trembled in fear of the gravity of what I had done.
I have to get out of here. Even as I thought that, when I looked at Amase lying on the floor, I felt a sudden urge.
While I warned myself that I shouldn’t, I just couldn’t suppress my desire.
I gently placed my hand upon her neck.
I squeezed the knife back into my hand. The silver blade shone brightly, as if it was hungry for blood.
Maybe now, I could do it.
I traced Amase’s neck slowly, looking for gaps in the joints, thinking of the figure of the Angel.
Actually, I had never really cut a human body before, but I had researched most of the information on the Internet beforehand.
I mindlessly slid the knife over her body.
I wondered how much time had passed. It was dusk when I first came here, but before I knew it, it was completely dark outside. Maybe the gate was already locked.
When the work was finally finished, I knelt down and exhaled in satisfaction.
I detached her head from her body and respectfully placed it on the desk.
It was like a solemn ceremony.
I fell to my knees and offered a prayer over her head in respect for the life that had been lost.
Amase’s head was shining in the moonlight, just as sacred as a statue of a goddess in a church.
At this moment, I made a vow in my heart.
Let’s complete the Angel.
I will complete my own angel with my own hands.
The drops of blood flowing from Amase’s eyes were shining like tears.
The crescent moon overhead was the only witness to this scene.
