A little while after Shirahata-san left the classroom, the hands of the clock began to move again and the classroom descended into chaos.
Actually, I’m from the Inazuma Eleven generation, so I thought it was Heaven’s Time.

Though, this shouldn’t be what I think about right now.
“Well, maybe Ritsu’s time to be popular has finally come.”
“No way. She’s never even talked to me, so what’s there for her to fall in love with?”
“Nothing’s there. You’re right, I’m going to refrain from replying to you.”
“You’ve got to reply in some way!”
That’s what I, who was weeping, told Keru. Well, it’s not like it was false or anything. I really believed that to be the truth.
But that’s why I wanted Keru to deny it. Humans are such annoying creatures.
What am I going to do now that I’m suddenly enlightened about the situation?
This was not the time to be idling around in conversations within my brain.
Karen’s story had been interrupted earlier.
So, I guess what I should do now is to listen to Karen finish.
When I turned my gaze toward Karen, she was just staring at me.
“Karen… want to continue where you left off…?”
“…I knew it… I’ll get another chance…”

Karen muttered something, and then quickly went to her seat.
“Oh, god. You’re such a romantic comedy protagonist, aren’t you?”’
“That sounds like an insult to me!”
“Because the term ‘romantic comedy protagonist’, in today’s world, is an insult, right?”
“Apologize to all romantic comedy protagonists!!!!”
Since Keru won’t apologize, I’ll apologize on his behalf.

“So, what was that really all about…? But talking on the rooftop…? Isn’t the rooftop not open to the students?”
“That’s true… maybe she didn’t know about that?”
“Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.”
Now that I’ve given the okay to Shirahata-san, I have to go.
But for her to call me up to the rooftop to talk; it means it’s something private.
I really wonder what it is.
As I was pondering this, my teacher came into the classroom, starting homeroom.
I thought again and settled on one answer: to wait until school ends to find out.

The divine couple saw me off as I began heading for the rooftop.
I glanced towards Karen’s seat, but she was already long gone.
Well, it’s not like I could do anything about her right now.
I headed for the rooftop, with the question of why running through my head.
I arrived at the rooftop rather quickly.
But since it’s not open to the students, I didn’t think the door would be open…
“It’s…”
I twisted the doorknob on the rooftop.
Then the rusty door opened with a squeak, and a breeze blew onto me momentarily. And then it blew past, leaving me behind.
Instantly, my field of view enlarges.
Since the rooftop is the highest point around here, there’s nothing to block the view, which made me feel as if I were above the clouds. Such beauty.
And Shirahata-san was like the supporting actor to this unreal and beautiful scenery.
To be honest, at that moment, she was the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen.
When Shirahata-san noticed me, she opened her mouth with the same angelic smile.
“Oh, hello there, Kaminoki-san.”
“H-Hello.”
Her calm presence is like that of an Ojou-sama.
I even greeted her with “konnichiwa”.
The Japanese don’t normally greet people like that… Well, it might be just me.
“Thank you for coming.”
“N-No… it’s nothing.”
When I’m with Ms. Shirahata, I wonder why I feel as if I’m beneath her.
Well, I’m sure I’m lower than her when it comes to my contribution to society and all that.
I don’t want to hurt myself. I’m the only one who can be kind to myself (quote style).

“…O-Okay…”
That’s very direct.
But since it was so concise, and Shirahata-san probably thought of it as a light topic, I thought to myself.
She made it seem like it was a lighter topic than what I usually thought about… For example, I wondered about about the stupid “Do I have bad sleeping habits?” Though, that’s not important right now.
Well, I assumed it was a light topic, anyways.
Shirahata-san was direct, almost as refreshing as the wind blowing through the rooftops.
“Will you go out with me?”
That’s not a light topic at all!
