Another One of the School’s Most Beautiful Girls Want to Talk to Me?
“Good morning, Ritsu.”
“Good morning, Ritsu-kun.”
“Good morning to both of you.”
As soon as I entered the classroom, I saw a friendly couple calling out to me.
I always see them as a set. Plus, seeing them together makes me feel happy too. Now this is just a happy set… I’m sorry.
(TL: Happy set = McDonalds japan meal with toys)
“By the way, Ritsu. Did you do the English report?”
“…what is that ……?”
“You had an assignment due today to write a report on a news story that caught your attention in English class, remember?”
“O-Oh…”
When they asked me, I started to remember.
But I fell asleep right away last night. I’m not the type of person who does things systematically, so I usually do my assignments overnight. For example, I go to a shrine to pray the day before a test.
So I went to bed right after this incident last night, so of course, my report was blank.
But a blank sheet of paper can mean anything, right?
…No amount of positive thinking can save me…
“But the report is due in the fifth period, so you still have time. And we’ll do everything we can to help you.”
“Is that an angel?”
“That’s just Otoha.”
“Hey, Keru. You can’t say something like that in public. I get embarrassed too, you know?”
I thought they were… angels, but can they stop flirting in front of me, even if they are a divine couple. Any boy, with no girlfriend, would be annoyed if a beautiful couple was flirting right in front of them. Is it war? Are we going to start a war?
“Anyway, I’ll do it now, so just give me some news.”
When I said that, Keru thought about it for a while. He then suddenly started talking, as if a brilliant idea had just come to his mind.
“…Ritsu Kaminoki-san, a high school sophomore who is widely viewed as the mentally strongest high schooler, has challenged the Guinness World Record for the number of times one has been rejected. He’s done it 10,000 times, breaking the record! Isn’t that amazing, Otoha-san?”
“Yes, it is. I could feel the tremendous amounts of love emitting from him.”
“Hey, hey! It’s still too timely for you to be messing with me! And don’t say it to me as a couple, with those clean, untainted eyes. You’re making me look like a villain. I’m really not the one who’s crazy!”
“This is big news, and since you know the most about it, you’re going to be able to get a lot of writing done.”
“No, no!”
And that’s the first thing I went through today.
The combo play of a couple overwhelmed me, who was fighting solo. Their duo isn’t fair anymore… I’m at a numerical disadvantage.
One of the girls watching us joking around suddenly came into my sight.
Though today, my childhood friend’s eyes do not have the glare as they did yesterday, she still looked the same.
She’s currently stopped in front of the three of us.
“Good morning, Karen.”
“Good morning, Otoha.”
A greeting is casually passed around.
This kind of switch in attitude is top-notch, isn’t it? As a prime candidate for her sandbagging, I would like it if she would always keep that nice outer appearance.
Such wishes flew far away as Karen turned to me.
But, huh? What’s with her stares… not…?
She was actually looking down at me shyly.
I wonder what’s going on.
“Hey… Ritsu…”
“…Y-Yeah…?”
What’s with this feeling? It’s like a couple who just started dating and are calling each other names for the first time?
If that’s the case, I’m still more comfortable with her usual killer mode.
“You know… I―”
Just as Karen was about to say something, a calm voice echoed in the classroom.
“Excuse me. Is Ritsu Kaminoki-san here?”
The people who heard the voice immediately turned their eyes towards me.
As I was listening to Karen’s words, my attention was split between her and the voice, which slightly confused me.
What’s more, the owner of the voice was someone that I… or rather everyone, knew, which confused my mind even more.
“Eh… eh? Oh, me?”
“… Hey Ritsu, what did you do?”
“Why are you assuming that I’ve done something wrong?”
Even under the pressure, I was able to instinctively retort to Keru.
I think I could be a comedian.
The owner of the voice seemed to have figured out where I was, since everyone was looking at me. She just kept walking towards me, not caring about the others’ eyes.
Then, with that same careless look, she came in front of me and Karen, and began to speak.
“You’re Ritsu Kaminoki-san, right?”
“…Y-Yes.”
I was overwhelmed by her intimidating aura.
She has long blond hair and a reserved presence around her. Her blue eyes are so clear that they reminded me of the clear, blue sky in summer.
She has a good-looking face that would convince anyone that she is a model.
“My name is Shirahata Niina.”
Shirahata Niina―
Like Karen, she is known as one of the most beautiful girls in the school, so much that she and Karen are on par in popularity in the school.
Why would someone like this bother to come to me?
Of course, I had no idea why.
For some reason, Shirahata-san glanced at Karen and then apologized in an angelic voice for disturbing us.
“Um… after school today, can you come to the rooftop so we can talk?”
Come to…?
This was too much of an irregularity; it caused my mind to become confused and disoriented.
The people around me were likely equally as confused, and so they were still as if time was moving only in Shirahata-san’s world.
“Um… Kaminoki-san. So, are you… coming?”
“…Y-Yes…”
Before I knew it, my mouth replied on its own.
At my reply, Shirahata-san smiled like an angel.
“Thank you very much! I’ll wait for you then… okay?”
Shirahata-san said, and left the classroom with a satisfied expression on her face.
To describe her as a storm is somewhat lacking in beauty. However, with the appearance of Shirahata-san, the once noisy classroom was quiet.
Karen, who was about to say something before Shirahata-san came in, had her mouth hanging open.
What’s with her aura?
It seems I’ve been summoned by an incredibly beautiful girl.
(TL Note: Editors are busy. So, we ‘hired’ another one, only to delay your chapters to find a couple mistakes. :P)
(ED Note: Hey everyone, Mateo here! I’m the new intern and will be helping out with some editing work where I can. I look forward to editing more stuff that’s up to par with the other works!)

I ain’t mad cause it’s just too fucking funny. Karen is in trouble! Better move that ass!

Thanks for the chapter
Poor Karen. I hope she can clear the misunderstanding sooner or it will be too late (or maybe it’s already too late)
Phanta
I honestly hope that doesn’t happen. She has had 10,000 chances, literally, but didn’t take it. She doesn’t deserve another one, especially after she called him a dog in public. MC doesn’t deserve that kind of treatment.
TheDeathmail
I don’t care about the “dog” problem as much as the reason.
If the reason was because she never realized her feelings due to him confessing too much and not giving her space, then I’d root for her, cause then it’d just be a tragedy of misunderstandings.
But the reason was so freaking dumb….
Like…. I don’t know if I should be mad at her…. or the author for such an unnaturally stupid thing….
I mean, rejecting a person too much if you know you have feelings is…. just stupid…
Like… way too unnaturally stupid…
There was a perfectly great reason for her to be annoyed at him. Confessing 10,000 times is kinda a form of harassment… he gave her no space and kept on annoying her with confessions…. that would be enough reason to make her not realize her own feelings.
And that would have been way deeper. It’d mean that the annoyingness of the situation would have covered up his devotion…
But the author didn’t do that…
But if the only reason they weren’t dating was cause she was super unnaturally stupid….
I don’t know if the character should be blamed, or the author for writing something so stupid…
