Extra – Changes
If you missed the announcement on the discord, recently, I asked you guys to pick if I should translate the final arc of the original version of the WN or translate the final arc of the revised version instead since I won’t be translating the whole revised version. As for why, it’s because the general storyline is the same and the changes didn’t impact the story much, except for the final arc in which the author fleshed the whole arc more.
Anyway, most of the people voted for the revised version, so I will translate that one from now on. I’ll be translating from chapter 85 of the revised version until the end of the story.
Just to keep you up to date with the differences between the original and revised version, these are the changes up till this point:
- We know Akakusa-sensei’s full name now, Akakusa Mitsuki (赤草美月).
- Makoto’s name changed from Takane Makoto (高根真琴) to Takatori Makoto (鷹取真琴).
- The author cut some of the early plot lines, including most of the volunteer activities they did, the stalker case and Kazawaguchi-senpai’s case. He also compiled the after story into one long chapter.
- Some characters that didn’t have much relevance to the story were cut, they are Yuuri and Ran (Shirona’s friends), Toma and Shinji (Sui’s friends), Aki-senpai, Kazawaguchi-senpai, Kaya and the stalker guy. Parts of the story where they mattered were either cut completely or changed appropriately.
- Obvious changes like, better-paced story, more fleshed out main characters, less fillers, better writing etc.
