A/N: 

 

After two months, the revised version of ‘Venomous Tongue’, ‘My Beloved Comet’ is finally finished.

To everyone who’s read the original and the new readers, thank you for reading it until the end. I appreciate your comments and review, I’m happy to read through them all as it gave me the push I need for my future stories. I hope you enjoyed this story.

 

As for when I will write my next work, for the time being, I have no plans to write another one online. As I previously stated, I’m trying to focus on writing an original book. There’s a chance that I’ll post the unsuccessful ones in kakuyomu or narou. You’ve probably guessed already from my writing style that I’m not suited to write in Web Novel formats and I don’t like writing book adaptations of Web Novels.

 

I’ll post further announcements here.

Thank you everyone for sticking with us! We are done with the series! This is the first series I’ve finished translating and honestly, I just feel content right now. I don’t even know what to say. Thinking back, translating this novel is mostly agony. The amount of obscure references I had to look up, the amount of adjustments I made because the jokes would sound really awkward in English a lot of the time and in some parts, the tears just won’t stop and I had to calm myself down for a while first. I’m sure I’ve read that epilogue more than ten times and somehow still cried in the middle of translating. 

 

Anyway, once again, thank you for all your support. If you’re wondering what the author is up to nowadays, he’s streaming apex on twitch @Aterui_Mizuno and like he said, he won’t be writing WN or LN in general anymore because he’s trying to write a regular novel, so it’ll be kinda hard to see his other works anytime soon.

 

If you’re wondering what I’m up to after this, I’ll still be translating Second Cutest, but I’ll also take over A Reincarnation Romantic Comedy of a Hero and a Witch a.k.a Reverse Romcom. I edited for the series and since the previous translator had no intention of continuing it, I decided to might as well finish what we started. That’s it, see you around!

    Thank you so much for translating this masterpiece! I’ll try to keep myself off depressing light novels for the time being, but reading this light novel truly changed my perspectives on a lot of things (as cliche as it is to say). I always yearned for stories with a happy ending, the couple get together and stay together till the end. But this story made me realise even if we find our soulmates life isn’t fair enough to give us both a peaceful death in our sleep while we’re together. Kind of a naïve realisation, I know. But I’d never thought that far to begin with, I’d had a very optimistic viewpoint of love as a kid, and unknowingly, till today at the age of 17, I still had it. As heartbreaking as most of that ending was, I’m glad you guys translated it all the way through. Your efforts will be remembered by the readers for sure. Once again, thank you guys
