Convention - Ch. 10 Reunion
Diary Excerpt
“Facing the past is not scary, what is scary is clinging to it.”
“What do you keep looking at me for?”
Mo Xiao asked me.
I was slightly startled by her question and found some clarity from the trance I had just been in.
The weightlessness of the elevator as it ascended was much lighter compared to the descent, it was a pleasant experience to fret under such a suitable pressure.
“The director looks pretty so I wanted to see more.”
After spending a lot of time with Mo Xiao, I dared to mess with her a little.
To be honest, I really didn’t find myself staring at Mo Xiao, I just look at a place to pass time ……
Mo Xiao gave me a white eye and reached out to pinch my face.
“You have hardened your wings? Only won a game of chess with a staged opponent and you dare to talk to me like this?”
(TLN: Hardened wings mean that someone has begun to stray away from the person in charge. In this case, he is messing with her.)
“No ~~~~ it’s ~~~~~ that, Director I apologize.” I obediently said and pouted to Mo Xiao.
And at this time, the scene of the game just now surfaced in my mind. People who study painting always say that people see things one way, what’s in their head is another, and what they finally draw is completely different. Even so, if the picture I remembered in my hippocampus was not the same as the one I saw, I still felt that the chess piece’s prototype was Mo Xiao.
That chess piece was made of plaster as the base material and later colored, and as it was hand-made, it is most likely the only one.
“By the way, Director, do you know any friends who are very skilled at handcrafting?”
“Hmm? Why are you asking that? I can teach you if you want to learn how to make paper airplanes.”
“No, not that ……”
“None, if you mean friends who are good at conducting experiments, then I can list a whole bunch of them …… except I don’t think I can contact any of them anymore.”
“I see. ……”
If only I still had the piece in my hand, but unfortunately, by the time I noticed the piece, it had already been destroyed, crushed in one hand with little possibility to repair
I turned back and glanced at the culprit who had destroyed the piece.
She was lying quietly on Tang Ren’s shoulder, being carried along. To avoid being taken for a human trafficker or some other ‘bad guy’, Mo You had very cleverly stuffed her into an airtight bag. Judging from the way the auction house staff glanced at us, they probably knew that Tang Ren was carrying a person, but perhaps they had seen it enough times, they didn’t show the slightest intention of trying to stop us.
“Say, why do we need to take that robot as well?”
“To disintegrate it.”
Mo Xiao said.
“And then do a little reverse reconnaissance, don’t you want to know who that bastard is that forced you to play chess?”
“So that’s how it is, Director you’re brilliant.”
Suddenly, the ground shook a little, and with a crisp ding, the doors of the elevator opened. Strangely enough, though, this anomaly caused everyone in the elevator to not exit.
“Don’t go out, something is not right,” said Mo You on the side.
Looking out, it was still the same hall we had come from, the same décor, the furnishings, or the inconspicuous stains on the walls, there was no doubt that it was the same place, but strangely enough, it was empty.
At the time we left, there should still be a few tired and exhausted people that stayed here to rest. But at the moment they were nowhere to be seen, and even the old butler who had been welcoming visitors in the hall was gone.
Mo You frowned and stared outside for a small half day.
“Huang Yuan you go out first, we’ll protect you from behind.”
“Oh okay, no, wait!”
I was pushed out of the elevator fiercely by Mo You, and then the rest of them also walked out of the elevator together.
Mo You walked unhurriedly to the center of the hall, squatted down, and touched the floor.
“Something’s wrong,” Mo You’s expression was a bit tense, “the undead can’t be walking around without my orders, except for that guy Lei Ke.”
“Missy, we can’t stay in this place for long.” Tang Ren said.
“It can’t be someone from the Coalition Government, right? Or is it some local gangs fighting here? Could it be that guy who was just started trouble with us?” Mo You asked.
“From my experience, it is unlikely to be the Coalition Government, this is not like their style of action, at least I do not see their logo. The local gangs are also unlikely, after all, the cost of trouble in the rat’s nest is very high, they will be blacklisted. Then there is that person just now, he is very suspicious, but he does not seem to come for us Eternal Undead. ”
Thus speaking, Mo You stood up, she rubbed her fingertips, with a gloomy face, she held out her hand and showed us.
On her fingertips, there was a little crimson stain that looked like …… blood?
“Lost a chess game and killed one of our people? Very excessive.”
She said as she walked up and wiped her fingertips clean on Tang Ren’s clothes.
“It seems like it may take a little work to get home this time, you go ahead for me.”
Said Mo You as she shook her head, Tang Ren slightly bowed to show his compliance, walked up and held the handle, then took a deep breath and opened the ancient door.
The uncomfortable scraping sound resounded in the room, then there’s silence.
Nothing happened.
Tang Ren poked his head out, looked around for a moment, and then nodded back toward us. So we hurriedly followed. Mo You’s footsteps were different from the usual dangling briskness, this time she walked fast and with weight, even the onlookers could see that things did not seem too good.
The time seemed to be noon when we walked out of the hall, the intense sunlight waving down from the sky, under the scorching sun, yet the place was still half empty, and those garbage can-shaped security robots were almost done packing up the trash in the square.
At that moment, one of the large piles of security robots suddenly walked straight towards us. His cartoon eyes on the display lit up with a terrible red light, which is usually a sign of error or danger.
Tang Ren held out his arm to signal us to step back and stepped forward tentatively.
“You guys are slow.”
A mechanical and raw voice came from the barrel-shaped body.
Mo Xiao frowned slightly as if she sensed something, and I might have guessed her misgivings. This type of machine that performs a fixed job should only have a few fixed voice lines.
“Slow enough to make people a little angry, heh.”
The voice with a ‘heh’ after produced a creepy effect. Without waiting for us to react, Mo You walked up quickly, Tang Ren hurriedly stretched out his hand, trying to stop Mo You, but before he could open his mouth, Mo You signaled him to back off, and Tang Ren had to make way for Mo You and that trash can.
“Where did my people go?”
Mo You walked up and fiercely flung out a sentence.
“‘My people’? I haven’t seen you for a few years, your demeanor is getting more and more indecent, like a little girl who hangs out on the street.”
The security robot said nonchalantly, the dry voice from the sound source bears no emotion in it, but one could think of the expression of the person controlling this tin can.
“I’ll ask again, where did my people go?”
“Is that the tone you should take when you talk to me?”
“Fuck you.”
This time, without waiting for the tin can to finish its words, Mo You raised her leg high, and with a downward slash smashed deep in the round top. The unfinished speech was transformed into a series of wailing electronic sounds with the crushed speakers inside, and then it was completely silenced.
The surrounding robots were alerted by this action of Mo You and turned their heads to look at us. I once just touched these garbage can-like robots and I was chased for three blocks as an assault on the police.
But the strange thing is that these robots did not make aggressive moves, their sirens just sounded for a moment, and then silenced, as if the switch was turned off, and each went to clean up.
Not long after, from the middle of those robots wobbled another red-eyed one that drove up and stopped in front of us.
“I can’t believe you’ve learned to swear, my affinity has dropped again.”
“Where did my people go, I’ll ask again!”
“They are with us and not in danger at the moment.”
“So they’re turned into hostages?”
“Hostages, yes, hostages, and it’s okay if you think so, but I guess essentially I still consider you all as ‘guests’.”
“Where do you want me to go?”
“You could not come, depart back to base camp and continue to be the king of your mountain, or just follow this thing.”
With that said, the robot twitched slightly and drove off towards a small alley not far away.
“But you have to prepare your food, mom here does not provide you with food.”
Mo You was silent, she lowered her head without saying a word, then looked back at Tang Ren, and met Mo Xiao’s eyes again. The two sisters looked at each other and stared at each other with a kind of seriousness. I don’t know what the two of them were thinking, but I was excited.
I had thought that this business was done and that I would no longer be able to meet with the Professor, but now it seemed that there was still a chance. The person behind the security robot who claimed to be their mother in front of Mo You, was naturally the Professor.
“You want to go?” Mo Xiao asked, there was a complex emotion in her expression, and one could tell she was hesitating.
“I kind of don’t want to go, anyway, the chip is already in my hand, just find a place to throw it away and piss the old women off for a few days, and then it’s done.” Mo You mumbled with her head down.
“Wait, didn’t we come to see the Professor?! She’s already shown up!” I said from the sidelines.
“You shut up, even if we are going, it’s only us who go, you guard the door, you want to interfere in our family affairs?” Mo Xiao said to me in a bad mood.
“Then why did you bring me here? Just to watch the door?”
At this point, Tang Ren, who was silent, suddenly spoke up.
“Missy, to bravely face the people and things you eventually have to face is a sign of growing up, besides we are here for that.”
“…… I know.”
After the words, Mo You did not look back as she followed the robot that slipped into the alleyway.
“I’m already an adult.”
Since Mo You has decided to go to the meetup, we naturally followed.
Along the way, I saw Tang Ren try to say something several times, but never managed to speak.
At the time when Mo You and Mo Xiao were fighting, I thought that the narrow and complicated alleyways we walked through were already the worst, but this security robot took us to an even worse and complicated place.
He took us to an underground passage.
This underground passage may have been abandoned for a long time because even the lights are not on, such a public place should be are lighted all twenty-four hours.
We took advantage of the LED lights on the robot display and walked a short distance in the dark before the underground lights suddenly came on.
In addition to the ground full of concrete, there is a cloud of heavy dust. It is possible for a finger to lightly rub the concrete gray walls and chip off a piece. From this point of view, I am afraid that there is no ventilation here. Mo Xiao coughed several times along the way, and only after receiving tissue from Tang Ren to cover her nose and mouth did she get better.
After walking for a long time, the security robot stopped in front of a wall. On this concrete wall, there is a very inappropriately inlaid with a decent door, which looks like solid wood, waxed, and also looks gleaming in the pale light of fluorescent lamps. This is reminiscent of the plot of certain horror stories when there appear to be something out of place with the environment, and we would walk into something bad inside.
Looking at the robot, it had stopped moving, the display is not lit, as if it is shut down. This underground passage does not have any signs, it is impossible to find the right path if you rely only on your sense of direction.
Faced with this bizarre door, Mo You did not hesitate much, she took a deep breath and pulled on the door handle with much force. Leading a group of us into the bottomless darkness inside the door.
And soon, we regret this reckless action.
Can you imagine what it would be like to be deprived of your vision? This is the environment we are now in. There is silence and no one could see. One of the most important senses to obtain information from the outside world is disabled, it feels as if we are detached from the world and thrown heavily into the chaos of the void.
The only thing that brought me a slight sense of security was the stiffness of my legs on the cold ground, the feeling of gravity pulling on them.
“Di, Director ……”
I subconsciously waved my hands haphazardly in the darkness, trying to find a companion to hold her hand and feel the warmth coming from her palm to ease the fear soaking into my pores along with the darkness.
Finally, I also got what I wanted, but I was not able to hold the hand but touched something through the clothing. Before I could react to what was happening, a burning sensation came violently from my face.
Mo Xiao’s slap slammed into my face, causing me to stagger, and she hit me really hard. Suddenly, for some reason, the lights in the room were turned on. I touched my red and swollen cheek and looked around the illuminated room, only to see Mo Xiao looking at me with an annoyed face, it seems I just have touched her, but how did she slap my face so accurately in the dark ……
“Young master, where do you think you’re touching? You going to get beat!”
She was red-faced and raised her hand to strike again. I had no time to reply and hastily held my head to protect it, but in a flash, Mo Xiao’s arm was hanging in mid-air and the body stopped moving, I looked up at the other two and their bodies were frozen too.
I turned around, and the bizarre sight in front of me made me as immobile as they were, it was like we were in a grotesque horror story.
This is a spacious classical European-style dining room, surrounded by walls covered with a variety of hideous beast heads and some expensive paintings. In the center of the room, a huge table occupies seventy percent of the space.
On the table, there was a huge monster fish, so huge that there was no plate to hold it, and was placed directly on the table. All kinds of food were piled up around it in an exaggerated manner.
The food served on the table was half-eaten, some still smoldering, obviously someone had just eaten. I looked carefully, I could not help but gasp. The food on the table made me feel as if I had returned to the ancient times of the Earth, the heads of mammals with giant teeth, trilobites-like arthropod crustaceans, and of course the strange fish placed in the center … …in my perception, these animals have long been extinct, but why have they reappeared and been made into ‘delicacies’?
And far behind the strange fish, that is, the end of the table, there is a brown diners, she is dining on the food without care. How fast she eats reminds me of some top predators with explosive speed. Yes, she was behaving like a wild animal, so that I can only use ‘consuming’ to describe her behavior, rather than simply ‘eating’. As the remnants of food continued to pile up around her and the strange fish on the table was being swept away, I gradually got a better look at her face.
“Wakatsuki Uraki!”
Mo Xiao stared at the brown-clad woman in surprise for a moment, then suddenly responded, roaring in anger and rushing up, her right hand raised as if to wind up a slap. Wakatsuki still buried her head in food and ate, as if she did not notice the other people in the room and did not care about Mo Xiao who rushed up to her.
At this time, Tang Ren also rushed up and pulled on Mo Xiao.
“You want to die?!”
Tang Ren said, gently pushed Mo Xiao back, and carefully surveyed Wakatsuki with a calm gaze.
As if sensing the gaze on her, Wakatsuki was like a huge machine that came to a screeching halt, slowly stopped eating what is left, and slowly raised her head to look over.
“Huh?”
She looked at us, the corners of her food-stained mouth raised in an exaggerated arc.
“That plate, can you bring it over to me? I’m too lazy to get up.”
She was not at all surprised that we were standing in front of her. Did she notice us when the lights were still off? No, what’s more surprising is that she was already eating when the lights were off.
“Which plate do you want, this one?”
Tang Ren walked unhurriedly to the table and picked up a plate containing a few arthropod legs.
“Thank you, eh, isn’t this Master Tang?”
“Well, Lord Wakatsuki, it’s been a long time, your appetite is still so good.”
“Who’s that behind you, it’s really the first time I’ve faced so many people while eating.” Wakatsuki’s expression was a little dull, as if she had just woken up from a nap.
“I’m very sorry for disturbing Your Excellency’s pleasant dinner.” Tang Ren replied without being surprised.
Saying so, Wakatsuki waved the little half of something in her hand in front of Tang Ren’s eyes.
“Do you want to eat?”
Tang Ren did not answer, but fiercely picked a plate in front of him and hurled it at Wakatsuki, moving like thunder, shaped like a meteor. I did not see clearly what happened, only a vague glimpse of the plate thrown at high speed, it swept away all the obstacles in the way with tremendous momentum. In a flash, oily water splashed, cups and goblets shattered. Its speed broke through the sound barrier and cut through the air with a whistle. I could not help but cover my ears. The whole room is filled with the overflowing murderous aura becoming difficult to breathe.
The next moment, the plate that was thrown out lost a trace, not even a single sound.
“Back up, do not come over!” Tang Ren shouted at us.
Hearing this, I took a few steps backward, my nerves tense. I looked towards Wakatsuki but found that Wakatsuki was not where she was, leaving only a plate vertically embedded on the wall behind her.
And above the wall, there came a peculiar sarcastic laugh.
Wakatsuki, who was just at the same level as us, had, at some point, distanced herself from us. She sat on a staircase next to the dining table with an unfinished humanoid carving next to the steps. Perhaps I was so nervous that I didn’t even notice that there were stairs in this room. Wakatsuki smiled and tossed the food in her hands and stood up. Only then did I realize that the humanoid carving was similar to Mo. I turned my head to Mo You, she also seemed to have discovered this matter and took two steps forward, looking a bit off.
“You’re a big deal, Missy, even people who aren’t part of the Eternal Undead treat you like the Messiah,” said Wakatsuki, patting the dust off her body and smiling towards Mo You.
“…… what have you done with my believers?”
“Do not worry, half of your underground believers should still be alive, we are not the Romans, we will not feed them to the lions. But I have not hung out at the laboratory for several days, I do not know if there is a point of attrition. Ah, yes, the Professor also had me sent those people you brought there, they look tenacious so they shouldn’t die that easily.”
Listen to the words of Ruo Yue, Mo You put on her hood, slightly lowered her head as if to hide her expression at the moment, but I can still feel the terrifying expression under her hood.
“How dare you ……!”
Just as she was about to go off, another voice cold as ice appeared.
“That’s enough.”
That voice came from the stairs, and a familiar figure came down. No one could be calm under this intimidating majesty, and seeing her, even Mo Xiao showed a shaken look, not to mention Mo You who is the same. She raised her head, looked at the figure on the long staircase, and murmured.
“Mom ……”
It was no other than the professor, who had changed into a long black coat and was looking down on us from above, making people flinch with her overpowering aura.
“I heard that you ran to Kunlun Mountain, that’s impressive.”
“I …… I ……” aside, Mo You suddenly lost her anger just now and turned into a look of guilt.
“And you, Mo Xiao, it’s not good to betray your teacher and your mother, right?”
I saw Mo Xiao clenched her fist and gasped, “You still have the face to say such things!”
The professor laughed and did not reply.
“Ah, excuse me, should I leave first so I wouldn’t disturb you guys I feel a little sleepy after being full,” Wakatsuki interjected but then was immediately told to shut up by the Professor’s squinting eyes.
“You have some perception, so I’ll just break one of your fingers when I get back later.”
“Thank you, Professor!” Wakatsuki laughed bitterly, and then with a backflip, she scampered straight up the stairs.
The confrontation once again returned between the Professor and us.
“I tell you, that dumb chip you wanted I have long thrown it away. I did not want to come to see you, prefer to never see you, just one look at you disgusts me, I just to piss you off. I do these kinds of thing now, and I will do them in the future, every day, every moment, until I die!” Mo You went up and said through gritted teeth.
The Professor listened and did not respond, she leaned lazily against the stair railing, took a cigar out of her pocket and lit it.
“Release my men!”
Mo You said, suddenly glaring violently behind her with a look so full of shocking abhorrence that I winced.
“Your people? Who did you learn such a mercenary vocabulary from, that stupid big guy next to you?”
“Dear Professor, I am very sorry, it is my incompetence to take up the duties of a good steward.” On the other side, Tang Ren listened to this and even took the initiative to admit his mistake.
She shook the cane that is pinned to the ground and waved her hand as if she was acting. Her behavior was simply a deliberate attempt to provoke Mo You. I saw You’s fist squeeze into a dead knot, her nails slightly set into the flesh, blood dripping to the ground.
But after that, she was silent and didn’t say another word. At this point, the Professor looked straight at Mo Xiao.
“Mo Xiao, how do you feel after not seeing each other for four or five days?”
“Simply too pleasant, 129 hours and thirty-one minutes without seeing you has cured all my insomnia and tinnitus, being away from you is simply a panacea for all diseases.”
“Gee, that’s great, next time write a clinical research paper on staying away from me, I’m interested in this miracle cure.”
“Heh heh.”
“Well, let’s get down to business, although you took away my important materials, we are still family after all, so I think it’s better to talk to you before I decide to get you killed, so you won’t be surprised.”
“Oh, that’s very thoughtful of you, my dear Professor.”
“Very well, then let’s have dinner together as a family later, and bring your sister.”
“No need.”
“OK.”
The Professor said and shrugged.
After saying that, she moved her gaze away from Mo Xiao, and Mo Xiao also naturally ended her conversation with her, twisting her face to the side as if avoiding something dirty.
Finally, the Professor looked at me.
Once again, I shivered as the purple eyes circled my figure.
The Professor spun her cane around her hand and took an unprecedented two steps down, and I couldn’t help but take two steps backward until I was leaning against Tang Ren’s broad body.
She bent over, as if examining some subtle component, and sized me up carefully. Finally, she pounded her cane hard on the ground, stirring up a crunching sound in the middle of the not-so-large room, as if the bells of a tall tower were ringing.
“Huang Yuan.”
The Professor opened her mouth gently and slowly said. The tone was different from both Mo You and Mo Xiao’s conversations, full of the kind of condescending arrogance that a slave owner has when facing his own possessions. The words were not a rebuke, but they sounded like a rebuke.
I never knew that I was so afraid of this person in front of me that I could only stay in place and tremble.
“You——”
She stretched out work, not rushing to say what she was going to do, as if deliberately tormenting my nerves.
“You’ve lost weight.”
She said, and the three simple words seemed to contain some kind of magic, urging me to respond to her words.
“No …… I, um, no …… I’m okay I guess.”
“It seems that my two daughters didn’t treat you very well.”
Saying that she pointed her cane at Mo You and Mo Xiao.
“Don’t listen to her bullshit.”
Mo Xiao shouted to me.
“She probably scheming something.”
“No! It’s fine! They’re nice to me!”
I reflexively straightened my body and glanced at Mo Xiao. Come to think of it, it was hard to say what would have happened to me in the past few days without Mo Xiao. But she told me not to bother with the professor, which I couldn’t really do.
In this confined space, the Professor’s lurid presence was all the more menacing as she relentlessly strangled my heart, squeezing the words out of my throat one by one.
“Is that so? Well then, how’s the world out there?”
“Out there ……”
Said here, I unconsciously glanced towards Mo Xiao again. It was then that I remembered that I was a prisoner, a death row inmate. And the reason I came here with them was to meet the Professor and confront her. Otherwise, there would have been no point for me to come here.
“What …… what crime have I committed!?”
People always burst out with sudden courage when they are in pursuit of the truth. I don’t know where exactly this courage came from to dare to clamor toward the professor.
“Hmm? What are you referring to?”
The Professor frowned, but the leathery smile on her face didn’t change a bit.
“The Director told me that I was a death row inmate …… that’s why I was locked up in that hospital …… Since I’m a death row inmate, I want to know what crime I’ve committed!”
“You really want to know?”
“Of course!”
“But, before that, I need you to meet someone.”
“Meet someone?”
Just as I was questioning such, Mo Xiao tugged my hand.
“Don’t go.”
Mo Xiao whispered.
“It’s a conspiracy, she might make you do something.”
“Are you really going to listen to her?”
But even though Mo Xiao’s voice was already low, the Professor seemed to hear it, and leisurely snapped back at Mo Xiao’s warning.
“You listen to me in the hospital, you listen to her outside, and now you still can’t even make a decision yourself?”
“…… I ……”
Beads of sweat dripped down from my forehead.
Making a decision, what a difficult thing to do. I felt unbearably hot in my body, just like when I was coming out of the fire with Mo Xiao. I looked at Mo Xiao, and there was unease written all over her face. Was she distressed? I’m not sure, but at this point she is different from the one who usually has a short temper and had everything under control no matter what.
She was also not sure what decision I would make.
“This person is a bit related to your dreams.”
Just as I was dangling on the edge of the cliff, the Professor gave me another nudge.
“Don’t you want to know what your dream is about?”
Her words, like some kind of shocking oracle, struck a bolt from the blue over my head. I shook off Mo Xiao’s hand that was tugging me tightly.
Determinedly, I took two steps forward, and then made a decision.
“I want to meet.”
“Wise choice.”
At this moment, the professor finally showed a clear smile. She raised her cane and tapped it heavily on the floor. Suddenly, the lights all turned off again, becoming dark and chaotic. In this sudden change, I could only feel that Mo Xiao, Mo You, and Tang Ren have acted in response, and I was in the middle of them being lifted by something, bearing a sense of weightlessness in the darkness.
On my way up, a hand grabbed my ankle.
“ait …… don’t go ……”
I seemed to vaguely hear such a voice, and then the voice also disappeared along with the grip on my ankle.
I just continued in the weightlessness, stepping on rising something I do not know what it is.
After it was completely dark, I came to a place that was completely ‘white’.
Everything here was greyish-white.
It was like what I often saw in the hospital, a gloomy sky, an eternal evening, a world where not even the stars and satellites were visible. Under this colorless sky, I saw many familiar things, the mad, illogical, and the irrational world, like a replay of my dream. Only this time I was sure I was awake.
“I have waited for you for a long time, my child.”
A voice came through the daze, a voice I was obviously hearing for the first time, but it felt familiar.
“You are one of my many children, and the most outstanding one.”
Following the voice, a woman was sitting on a flat stone in the dimmest part of the sky, quietly looking at me.
This place is so in line with my dream that I was not at all surprised by the appearance of someone who had appeared in my dream world. Only this time, her appearance is as strong and clear as the reality of me standing here.
This woman, who was wrapped in silver and white, was as appropriate to this gray world as a pure white puzzle piece that could plug any gap.
“Who are you?”
Seeing this person whom I had seen countless times in my dreams, my heart began to beat violently and my mind was in a mess. There were countless questions I wanted to ask, but I didn’t know where to start.
“Why did you appear in my dream?”
“What does my dream mean?”
“Who am I really?”
I threw out a whole bunch of questions, and in the face of my panic-stricken appearance, she didn’t say a word and just held a light smile. But the golden pupils made it impossible to feel a hint of tenderness, she was lofty and solemn as if she knew the cause and effect of all things in the world.
Spooky.
I can only feel the woman’s eerie yet majestic aura, yet inscrutable.
Just when I was at a loss for words, she moved.
She lifted her left hand, extended her index finger, and drew a circle in the nothingness.
Instantly, a golden light took over my mind, and at the same time, I lost consciousness.
In the moment of losing consciousness, I thought about the last thing.
This golden light, and the color of her pupils, are exactly the same color ……
